Swablu - 57/70

We are back with a very cute Pokémon this week; let’s hear it for Swablu!

When I say that this Swablu (57/70) from Dragon Majesty fits perfectly in the “Happy Hits” series, I don’t think anyone will disagree. The fluffiness of their wings, those little beaks, their cute round body… All perfect ingredients for the perfect cute card!

Of course the artstyle can’t be missed either. Illustrated by Shibuzoh, the art features 2 Swablu playing in a puddle of water. The soft colors in the background really make the scene feel alive and natural; a quiet environment for 2 little Pokémon to enjoy each other's company.

I also love how Shibuzoh paid attention to detail in Swablu’s wings. The colors of the nature surrounding them cast soft pastel shades on them, giving that nice extra detail and coherent illustration.
