Pichu - 25/99

This has to be one of the cutest Pichu cards out there!
Today, Pichu (25/99) from Platinum - Arceus takes the cutie pie spotlight, illustrated by none other than Kanako Eo.

Some of you might not know this, but Pichu is actually called a “baby Pokémon”. On the card as well, you see that he has a Poké-Power named “Baby Evolution”. If I’m not mistaken, generation 4 is the last generation that added new baby evolutions to the pokédex.

I’ve always been a huge fan of baby evolutions. I mean, just look at this Pichu. That little tail, big ears, round face and puppy-eyes – how can you not get a “cuteness overload attack”!

Back to the card. Kanako Eo’s beautiful style, just like this Togepi we’ve seen here before, matches the cute vibe of the card. The low HP, the names of the attacks, no energy cost for his attack combined with such a cute Pokémon makes me instantly happy! I also like how the chosen color palette makes Pichu pop. The vibrant yellow stands out against the rest of the scene.
