Welcome to Happy Hits! This week, one of my favorite Black & White Pokémon takes the spotlight – Oshawott (30/114) from Steam Siege!
Black & White was the first generation I actively remember as “being new”. Picking up a Pokémon magazine and seeing Pokémon I had never seen before was so mind blowing! Me and my brother studied that magazine for hours, learning the names of all the Pokémon that were showcased in there.
It was until later in the anime when Ash got this Oshawott that I really started to adore this cute starter. It is a silly and adorable Pokémon – a perfect fit for the Happy Hit series!
What I like about this card in particular is the fact that the card has this dreamy vibe. Oshawott is clearly having an amazing time as I can tell from his big smile, perhaps it being a memory of some sort! The illustrator sui did a really good job on this card.
