Grotle - 164/162

In today’s spotlight is one of my all time favorite Pokémon: Grotle! Since Turtwig is my favorite Pokémon, I thought this Grotle (164/162) is a perfect fit for the Happy Hit series.

I always love it when a Pokémon is featured with other Pokémon in the frame. In Oswaldo’s illustration, we see a Grotle giving a ride to Marill with another Marill running behind it – adorable to watch! The Starly flying with them makes the scene even more alive.

I also like how simple and calm the whole Pokémon card looks. Grotle is known to not be violent, and this card perfectly highlights that fact. The tall grasses, ponds in the background, Grotle giving a ride to other Pokémon… It’s a beautiful, cute card.

This card is part of the Temporal Forces expansion. I’ve opened some packs hoping I would pull this one because I’ve not seen it on any cardshow so far. I know, opening packs to pull a specific illustration is not the smartest move, but I also just enjoy opening a pack from time to time!

Anyways, since I’ve not found this card on a cardshow, I might have to check eBay to add this cute card to my collection!
